Abstract
<p>The rapid expansion and influence of the internet have reshaped various sectors, including tourism. With China's vast online population, the internet has become a pivotal platform for promoting tourism and aiding travelers in planning their journeys. The global tourism industry, particularly in China, has experienced substantial growth, with coastal tourism emerging as a prominent and enticing sector due to its distinctive natural landscapes and cultural richness. Jiangmen City, a significant locale within Guangdong Province, is endowed with abundant coastal tourism resources, making it an increasingly popular destination for both domestic and international tourists. This paper explores the impact of the internet on tourism, highlighting the significance of online platforms in promoting tourism attractions and facilitating travel planning. It delves into the growth of the global and Chinese tourism industries, focusing on the allure of coastal tourism. Jiangmen City serves as a compelling case study for understanding the interplay between internet-driven promotion and the burgeoning coastal tourism sector.</p>
