Abstract
<p>Boric acid, a versatile inorganic acid known for its applications in pest control, fungistatic properties, ceramics, and cosmetics, has recently garnered attention for its potential medical uses. Studies have revealed its involvement in various physiological processes, including immune responses, endocrine regulation, mineral metabolism, and lipid homeostasis. Additionally, boric acid exhibits antioxidant properties, although the underlying mechanisms remain partially elucidated. Research suggests that boric acid treatment can mitigate oxidative metabolism inhibition resulting from mitochondrial degeneration. However, excessive boric acid usage may induce oxidative stress in the reproductive system. This abstract provides an overview of boric acid's multifaceted roles and underscores the need for further exploration of its medical applications and antioxidant mechanisms</p>
