Abstract
<p><em>Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the education sector by enhancing teaching, learning, and administrative processes. As an integral part of information and communication technology, AI is being increasingly utilized in educational management to improve student outcomes, streamline administrative tasks, and elevate teachers' performances. In recent years, AI has gained significant traction in education, particularly in Nigeria, showing promising potential despite being in its early stages. Innovations such as ChatGPT (GPT-4) are integrated into platforms like Microsoft Office, Edge, and Bing, optimizing educational tasks and helping both teachers and students engage with digital tools more effectively. AI technologies, including Machine Learning (ML), are being oriented towards educational purposes, underscoring the need to enhance Teachers’ Digital Competence (TDC) to fully leverage AI’s potential. The rapid growth of AI in education promises new opportunities while presenting challenges for educators, administrators, and policymakers. Key benefits of AI in education include personalized learning, automated assessments, and the use of intelligent tutoring systems, despite occasional organizational hurdles. This paper explores the transformative role of AI in reshaping education through various tools and technologies, highlighting the evolving landscape of teaching and learning.</em></p>
