Abstract

Cloud computing has emerged as a transformative force in Information Technology (IT), providing scalable, cost-effective, and efficient solutions for managing and distributing IT resources. Particularly in developed countries, where infrastructure is rapidly evolving, cloud-based services have become integral to businesses seeking to enhance their operational efficiencies. While the benefits of cloud computing are well-documented, its systemic nature can obscure some of its advantages, making it crucial to evaluate these services in a broader context. One sector where cloud computing has demonstrated significant potential is the banking industry, which is increasingly leveraging cloud technology to overcome the limitations of traditional IT infrastructure. The adoption of cloud computing in banking has led to enhanced data access and extraction capabilities, making it an essential tool for improving service delivery and communication efficiency. The advent of the big data revolution has further accelerated the need for advanced digital solutions, particularly in the banking sector, where the complexity and volume of data necessitate more robust systems for management and analysis. This paper explores the role of cloud computing in transforming communication efficiency within the banking sector, focusing on its application in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. By examining the benefits and challenges of cloud computing in this context, the study provides insights into how cloud technologies can be leveraged to improve service delivery, enhance data management, and drive innovation in the financial sector.
