ASSESSING MENSTRUAL HYGIENE AWARENESS AND PRACTICES AMONG FEMALE TEACHER TRAINEES IN NORTH-EAST NIGERIA

Abstract
<p><em>This paper assessed knowledge and practice of menstrual hygiene among female students of federal college of education in North East, Nigeria. The population of the study comprised of female students of Federal College of Education in North-East Nigeria. Simple percentage was used to select seven hundred and sixty-eight (768) female students of Federal College of Education in North-East Nigeria. The instrument that was employed in this study is questionnaire. After administration and collection of the questionnaire, the questionnaire was sorted and collated for data analysis. Simple percentage was used to answer the demographic data of the respondents, descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation was used to test the research question while one sample t test analysis, PPMC and ANOVA was used to analyzed the stated hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. It is expected that the results of this study should indicated whether there is knowledge and practice of menstrual hygiene among female students of Federal College of Education in North-East Nigeria</em></p>
