Abstract

Universal health coverage (UHC) is a crucial component of global health aiming to provide individuals with the necessary health services without subjecting them to financial hardship. While UHC has made substantial progress, it currently lacks a focus on public health services, which play a significant role in improving population health. This paper examines the relationship between UHC and public health, emphasizing the importance of integrating public health services within the UHC framework. By recognizing the value of public health interventions and their potential to promote equitable health outcomes, this study advocates for the enhancement of UHC through an inclusive approach to public health services, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals
