Abstract
<p>The human gastrointestinal tract houses a complex ecosystem of microorganisms known as gut flora, crucial for maintaining symbiotic host-microbe relationships. Disruption of this balance can lead to intestinal permeability and bacterial translocation, contributing to various diseases. The liver's intimate connection with the gut is described by the "gut-liver axis." Dysregulation of gut microbiota can trigger immune responses, resulting in inflammatory reactions and various liver diseases. This paper explores the intricate relationship between gut microbiota and liver diseases, offering insights into diagnosis and treatment.</p>
