Abstract

Schistosomiasis, a parasitic disease with significant global health implications, operates within an environmentally-mediated framework contingent upon the availability of suitable snail habitats, serving as intermediate hosts for the causative parasites (Morenikeji and Idowu, 2011). This research investigates the intricate interplay between environmental factors and the prevalence of schistosomiasis, emphasizing the pivotal role of snail habitats in disease transmission dynamics. By examining the environmental determinants influencing the disease's transmission, this study seeks to enhance our understanding of schistosomiasis epidemiology and contribute valuable insights for targeted control strategies
