Abstract

Sexual harassment remains a pervasive issue in educational settings, with many students experiencing harassment yet remaining silent. This study aims to determine students’ level of awareness regarding the Anti-Sexual Harassment Law (RA 7877) at the University of Cebu-Main Campus. Using a descriptive-correlational research design, data were collected through a researcher-made questionnaire, which underwent pilot testing to ensure reliability. Out of 1,077 students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, 292 respondents were determined using Slovin’s formula, but only 147 responses were gathered due to time constraints. Data were analyzed using frequency and count, weighted mean, and chi-square tests. Results indicate that among the four domains of awareness, students were most knowledgeable about the duties of the employer or establishment, while awareness of penalties was the lowest. Analysis further revealed no significant relationship between respondents’ profiles and their level of awareness, leading to acceptance of the null hypothesis. Overall, the study shows that most students in the College of Arts and Sciences are aware of the existence of RA 7877
