Abstract

Social media marketing techniques have emerged as vital tools for communication and engagement across individuals, organizations, and government institutions. These techniques facilitate openness, participation, and collaboration, enabling governments and organizations to enhance transparency and strengthen citizen engagement. This theoretical study examines the role of social media marketing techniques in promoting transparency and contributing to nation-building in Nigeria. Findings highlight that the strategic use of social media platforms can foster effective communication, improve accountability, and create stronger social bonds between government, citizens, and public employees. The study concludes that social media marketing techniques are essential for national development and recommends that governments institutionalize their use across public offices and agencies to promote transparency, peace, and national security, thereby supporting sustainable nation-building efforts.
